"This course will help you understand the basics of cybersecurity and how to stay safe online. It is a good starting point if you want to learn how to protect yourself, your data, and others from online threats. You will learn about different types of cybercrime, how they affect people and organisations, and what you can do to prevent them. You will also gain practical skills, including how to manage user access using cloud-based systems. What will I learn? By the end of the course, you will be able to: Recognise different types of cybercrime and understand why they happen Understand how cybercrime can affect individuals and organisations Describe common tricks used by cybercriminals, such as scams and phishing Understand why cybersecurity testing is important Explain how regular checks help keep systems safe Set up simple user access controls using cloud services Understand basic laws that protect people online, including GDPR and the Computer Misuse Act Recognise the difference between ethical and unethical behaviour in cybersecurity "
