What the college says

This course teaches students the knowledge required to pursue a career in sport. Students will also develop the skills for a range of sport-related topics from sports coaching to gym management. Students can use this qualification to enter the sport industry or choose to study sport at university or alongside a variety of joint honours degrees alongside journalism, media and business. Practical skills are developed in specialist areas and students learn about the other factors that contribute to improving performance.

What you need to get on

Six 9–4 GCSE/L2 Pass grades or above at BTEC/CTEC, preferably with a Grade 4 or above in GCSE English Language and/or Maths. Students who do not have a Grade 4 in English Language or Maths will be required to retake these qualifications.

How you are assessed

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
