Criminal behaviour has a significant detrimental impact on our society, our communities, our institutions and on victims. On the course, you will study aspects of psychology and sociology that apply to criminal behaviour and how this informs government policy. You will also learn about the process of a criminal case from the crime scene through to trial and will develop an understanding of the sentences available to the courts when dealing with convicted offenders.
