This course is equivalent to 1 A level. An understanding of criminology is relevant to many job roles within the criminal justice sector, social and probation work and sociology and psychology. This qualification has elements of psychology, law and sociology which complement studies in humanities. The course is designed to support learner progressing to university. It has a focus on applied learning, i.e. through the acquisition of knowledge and understanding in contexts linked to the criminal justice system.
