What the college says

This course is for students who are both new to writing or have been writing for some time and wish to learn how to structure their words in a way that will stand out. With lecture elements on the fundamentals (including character development, narrative devices, plot, setting, and point of view) students will put their learning into practice with tailored writing exercises and free writing time followed by sharing and discussion. Homework will be assigned in the form of recommended reading, peer reviews of fellow students' work and working on their own creative pieces which will be assessed by the tutor at the end of the course.
