This is an ideal course if you are interested in making and studying films, researching and analysing the media and developing practical, communication and presentation skills. Many of our students progress to study media production or related courses at university or to go into employment within the film-making and digital media sectors. We have had students complete work experience and then gain full time employment at local companies such as Maverick Television and the BBC.

What you need to get on

You need to hold at least 5 GCSEs including English Language at a grade 'C/4' or above. You should have an interest in the Media, be able to work in a team as well as stick to tight deadlines and schedules. You will need to bring evidence of your original certificates at Induction. You should be passionate about film-making and learning more about this exciting industry and art form. Previous media experience and enthusiasm for the subject is essential.
