Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) is a new qualification designed for students who have achieved a grade C or above at GCSE. The course is conceptually new but should appeal to all higher education establishments and employers. The course grounds students in the application of mathematics to real world situations. It helps to develop students' mathematical skills and thinking and supports courses such as A Level Psychology, Sciences and Geography as well as technical and vocational qualifications.
