Computer Science is the study of computers, the most important technological advance of our age. You will learn the fundamentals of how computers store, process and display data. You will also learn to code your own applications, and have a chance to develop your own piece of software. The course is best suited to those interested in engineering, logic, and creativity. At the end of the course you’ll have a deep understanding of technology and the code skills to enter the world of work or further study. There has never been a more exciting time to study Computer Science, and successful graduates have never been in higher demand.

What you need to get on

Students are expected to have achieved the standard requirements for A level, as well as having done GCSE Computer Science before and gaining a minimum grade 5 plus a Grade 6 in Maths.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
