What the college says

This course is a two year course that will develop your software and web development skill and prepare you for a career in the field of software development, web development or associated industries. During the course, you will develop skills in the use of industry-standard software packages including Visual Studio and Adobe Creative Suite. If you are aged 16-18, you will be enrolled on a study programme, which will include retaking GCSEs or undertaking Functional Skills in English and maths if you haven't already achieved a grade 4 or above. You will also be required to complete a work experience placement and an employability programme.

What you need to get on

We ask that you have at least a level 2 in maths and English. This could be in the form of a Functional Skills Level 2 or a GCSE grade 4 (old grade C). If you intend to progress to a higher education course like an HND be mindful that you will require a level 2 qualification in maths and English. Additionally, a level 2 in IT subject or equivalent is essential as you will programming and code at level 3 when you start with us.
