What is computing? The qualification gives an insight into a range of computing systems, including an understanding of the principles of programming and the solving of problems. It includes more computer science than traditional ICT and gives students the capacity to think creatively, innovatively, analytically and logically. It also provides students with the ability to understand the consequences of using computers, an awareness of emerging technologies and an appreciation of their potential impact on society. Min APS 5.8 Grade 6 in Maths, Grade 6 in Computer Science if taken at GCSE.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
