Computing A Level offers the student the capacity to think logically, creatively, analytically and critically using their ability and skills and knowledge including programming to solve problems in a range of contexts. They will gain an understanding of how computer systems are organised and the consequences of using computer systems and emerging technologies alongside their impact on society.

What you need to get on

Entry to Hinchley Wood Sixth Form is dependent on achieving 7 GCSE passes, comprising level 9 - 4 grades. A minimum of grade 4 is required in Maths and English; as well as a Grade 5 at GCSE CS, If students have not studied GCSE CS, they will be considered on an individual basis.
