What the college says

Computer Science is a practical subject where students can apply the academic principles learned in the classroom to real world systems. While the assessment is based heavily on two paper based final exams, the course is very much centred on practical programming and students spend the majority of their time developing programming skills. It is an intensely creative subject and one that really develops the students’ problem solving skills by learning about something called computational thinking. This is a tool kit for finding solutions for big problems. A skill that is very transferable. Please contact Backwell School to discuss this course information in more detail.
