What the college says

This course covers all essential beauty therapies. You begin by practicing on one another to develop your skills. You will then progress to external clients which further enhances your skills and prepares you for either Level 3 or industry. Optional additional courses are offered throughout the year for example gel nails and tanning.

What you need to get on

Three GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, one being in English or Maths OR a Level 1 Beauty Diploma.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
