Studying both hairdressing and beauty therapy, you’ll work in our professional salon, Baltic Salon and Spa on paying clients. With a focus on hairdressing techniques, you’ll develop skills in colour enhancement, plaiting and twisting, cutting techniques, creative styling and the art of dressing. You’ll undertake a work experience placement one day a week to help develop your communication and creativity skills and have the chance to enter national competitions. On completion you can progress to our Level 2 in Hairdressing. Qualifications needed You'll need good communication skills, plenty of enthusiasm and the ability to work with other people. You will need motivation to achieve and have a passion to gain skills enabling you to progress this as a career in the future.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
