What the college says

The foundation level Certificate in Human Resource Practice is an ideal qualification to help further your career as a Human Resource (HR) practitioner or to help you to gain employment in this field. The qualification will provide you with practical skills, such as how to design and deliver training, recruiting and selecting the best candidates, and how to conduct a performance review. You will also gain knowledge and understanding of how the HR function supports the business and adds value. This qualification is ideal if you are starting out in a Human Resource role and want to create a solid foundation on which to build a career. It is also useful if you have been working in HR for some time but you don't as yet have a formal qualification that recognises the experience you have gained. The Foundation level can help you if you are in a supervisory or team leading capacity when there is a strong emphasis on managing people. It is a requirement of the course that you become a student member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Once you have successfully completed the programme of study you could apply to the institute to become an Associate member (you may be required to provide evidence of any relevant work experience you have).

What you need to get on
