We look at how atoms combine, at the concept of the Mole, at the relationship between chemical reactions and energy, at the role of solvents, and at gases in the laboratory and in the atmosphere.
What you need to get on
This course does not require any background in chemistry. All the topics will be explained from first principles. At the same time, the topics covered will also be of interest to those who have already studied some chemistry. Although we will build on concepts met in Part 1 of the course, each part of the course is designed to be stand-alone so Part 1 is not a prerequisite.Please check the City Lit website for details.
