What the college says

OCR GCE Chemistry A is a content-led approach to A Level Chemistry. The course is divided into a range of topics, each covering different key concepts in chemistry. The teaching of practical skills is integrated with the theoretical topics and they’re assessed both through written papers and the Practical Endorsement. OCR GCE Chemistry encourages learners to develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of the subject and how they relate to each other. It also encourages learners to develop and demonstrate a deep appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of scientific methods. This builds the students’ confidence and competence in practical, mathematical and problem-solving aspects of chemistry.
