This qualification provides the ideal introduction to the construction industry and covers essential skills in the following construction trades: bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, plastering, painting and decorating, construction operations, wall and floor tiling, electrical and plumbing. This level is an introduction to the types of skills that are involved in the construction industry. This is a practical course which will allow you to learn and develop various skills relating to the construction industry trade. The course has been designed to: > Introduce learners to the construction industry > Help learners progress in this area of the industry > Develop skills and knowledge at this level > Prepare for taking further qualifications to enable them to enter the industry in their craft.

What you need to get on

There are no formal entry requirements however, a keen interest in the subject is essential. We will request a school or college report and you will attend an interview at the college.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
