This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to return to study and prepare for application to an Access to Higher Education programme. These qualifications are also aimed at learners who may benefit from alternative approaches to curriculum and learning, as the flexibility of assessment allows them to generate evidence in a range of ways. Learners will gain underpinning study skills and introductory vocational knowledge required to progress to further Level 2 study or employment within health and social care or other related sectors.

There are no academic requirements for entry to the course, however you will need to successfully attend an interview and complete a math and English assessment.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
