What the college says
A one-year study programme designed to help learners build confidence, independence and work-readiness, while preparing for employment, supported internships or further learning. Our pathway choices in term two allow learners to choose to focus on creative, business or sustainability skills, depending on their strengths, interests and career aspirations. Who is this course for? This qualification is suitable for: • Young people aged 16-18 • 16-24s with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) All learners may have the opportunity to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, a nationally recognised programme that develops confidence, teamwork, resilience and personal achievement.

This is a Level 2 qualification. No formal qualifications are required to enrol in this course.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
