You will look at enhancing your knowledge of communication in a care setting, equality & diversity, safeguarding and health & safety amongst many other topics. Suitable for: Anyone currently/wishing to work within the adult health and social care sector. Course units: Unit 1: Principles of personal development in adult social care settings Unit 2: Principles of diversity, equality and inclusion in adult social care settings Unit 3: Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care Unit 4: Introduction to duty of care in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings Unit 5: Understand the role of the social care worker Unit 6: Understand person-centred approaches in adult social care settings Unit 7: Understand health and safety in social care settings Unit 8: Understand how to handle information in social care settings Unit 9: Principles of communication in adult social care You will ideally need to have access to Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Publisher and PowerPoint as you may need to download and edit documents for your online course.
