If you are passionate about a career in music then our Level 2 course is a great start to working towards that goal This is a one-year course that offers skills development in both music performance and production. The course will enable you to develop a practical understanding of the music industry, as well as a broad range of skills such as: composition and song writing, performing in a band, organising live events, using recording studios, and music production. You will be given advice from those working within the industry and gain expertise to help you succeed in your future career. Progression from this course is the Diploma in Music Level 3.
What you need to get on
Level 1 music qualification or equivalent. GCSE Grade 2/3 in English and maths. Able to sing or play an instrument.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
