This provision is focussed on young people that aspire to work in land-based industries with an initial insight into the vibrant world of animal care. The programme is a mix of hands on practical and classroom-based theory work and therefore expectations to fulfil both are essential. Our specialist staff have incorporated elements of land-based study into this programme which will inform the young person a wider scope of initial advice and guidance for progression routes into either pathway for land based and/or animal care industries. This includes animal care, wildlife, trees and plants, and growing and harvesting crops.

What you need to get on

No formal qualifications are required, but you will have to undergo a selection process with our Head of 14-16 Provision to ensure you are both suitable for the programme and registered as Electively Home Educated.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
