If you wish to gain valuable insight into the Hair and Beauty industry and gain English and Maths qualifications ready for future courses and employment, then this is the course for you. This is an opportunity for learners who are unsure of their career pathway to start on the route to becoming a Hairdresser or Beauty Therapist, experiencing and carrying out hairdressing and beauty services. Alongside the hair and beauty programme, you will also attend valuable functional skills sessions, helping to improve your English and mathematics skills.

What you need to get on

You will be given an initial assessment to ensure that you have basic writing and reading skills in English. You will also need to have good communication skills, a friendly and pleasant personality, as well as good levels of personal presentation. In addition, you should be willing to work to deadlines.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
