What the college says
Our Foundation Focus Programme is perfect for you if you are not sure where to start. It is for students who have no GCSE results, or do not have four E grades, or who have not attended some of their school education and need to achieve an Entry Level or Level 1 qualification in order to progress onto their chosen vocational area or into employment or apprenticeships.
What you need to get on
To start a Foundation Programme you do not need any qualifications. Just the motivation to attend and take part! Candidates will mainly have GCSE grades 1-2. We do expect any student coming from Year 11 at school to have fully completed the year at school and to have attended and taken any examinations that they have been entered for.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A first step that builds towards Level 2.
Is it open to 16 to 18 year olds?
Approved for 16 to 18 study on the government's Section 96 list.
