What the college says
This will help prepare you for employment in roles in the creative and digital industries, but is also designed for job roles in other industries where specific digital skills are required, such as finance, marketing, manufacturing, and more. After this, you may decide to go onto a Level 2 diploma, or even higher onto a Level 3 qualification.
What you need to get on
To join this course, you must: live in London, have the right to live and work in the UK, be 19 years old or older as of 31 August 2026, not be in full-time education, not be on a student visa, skilled worker, or sponsored visa, and be unemployed or low income (earning below £28,860 per annum). Additional eligibility criteria may apply.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
