This qualification will enable you to be able to plan, deliver and evaluate linked and progressive angling coaching sessions, either independently or working as part of a larger coaching team. This qualification is designed to develop the skills and knowledge required to plan, deliver and evaluate a series of coaching sessions, working independently or as part of a large coaching team. Successful achievement of the qualification enables you to apply the principles of safe and effective angling coaching to a group of participants, either working independently or as part of a larger coaching team.
What you need to get on
Prior to registration learners are required to: be appropriately identified be at least 17 years of age be able to communicate effectively in English (this includes listening, speaking, reading and writing). have proven experience of angling in at least one context (coarse, sea or game angling) hold the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Assistant Coaching (Angling Support Coach) or robust experience deemed suitable by the Angling Trust.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
