Level 2 Certificate in Barbering is a vocational qualification that has been designed to develop a limited number of barbering skills to a high level of occupational ability and will prepare you to enter the men's hairdressing sector as a unisex hairdresser. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 years and over
What you need to get on
Entry onto this qualification can be via previous achievement of a Level 2 qualification in women's hairdressing and/or a successful skills test and interview, Maths & English
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
