Through the Level 3 Understanding Autism, you will develop and expand your knowledge of autism by looking at the diagnosis and characteristics, legislative frameworks and interventions and support for individuals. You will delve into looking at positive behavioural support and support and management of transitions for young people into adulthood or individuals with autism making their way into employment. You will learn about services available to individuals with autism and their families and also, take a deep look into safeguarding and how to support the health, safety and well-being of the individuals. Suitable for: This course is ideal for an individual wishing to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Autism to support their progression into employment within health and social care or education sectors. Course units: Unit 1: Understand the diagnosis and management of Autism Unit 2: Understand best practice in the context of Autism Unit 3: Legislation, guidance, information and support relevant to Autism Unit 4: Autism and behaviour Unit 5: Living with Autism in society You will ideally need to have access to Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Publisher and PowerPoint as you may need to download and edit documents for your online course
