Aimed at School Leavers. This course is designed for students who have a keen interest in Carpentry and Joinery and the Construction industry, enabling them to work to an advanced level in the industry of their chosen craft. The course will cover the following topics: information, quantities and communicating with others, building methods and construction technology, carry out first fixing operations, carry out second fixing, erect complex structural carcassing components, maintain non-structural and structural components and set up and use fixed and transportable machinery. You will be assessed by completion of practical tasks assessed by your tutor, the production of a portfolio and pass online Gola exams.
