Bench joinery is the preparation, setting out, and manufacture of joinery components while site carpentry focuses on the installation of the joinery components and on the setting out and fabrication of timber elements used in construction. Learn how to work with wood and become a professional carpenter as you find out how to build floors, roofs, doors and stairs. Level 1 introduces you to carpentry and joinery skills and allows you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in carpentry or joinery.

What you need to get on

Level 1 Certificate Successful interview with an initial assessment in English and maths at Entry Level 3 or above. Level 1 Diploma Three GCSEs at grade 2/E or above including English Successful interview with an initial assessment in English and maths at Entry Level 3 or above.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
