Our Childcare Level 1 course is the perfect introduction to the world of childcare and early education. Designed for students with little or no experience, this course helps you develop essential skills in communication, child development and health and safety. With a mix of classroom learning and hands-on activities, you�ll build the confidence and knowledge needed to take your first steps toward a career in childcare.
What you need to get on
GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) in English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Evidence of a commitment to learn and the ability to study at this level shown at interview. In addition, you will need to complete a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check once enrolled, which the College will pay for if you are aged between 16�18 when you start.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
