The Applied Science course is a two-year course, equivalent to one A level. The course is made up of two external exam units and 3 mandatory coursework pieces. Students will learn about principles and applications of science, practical scientific procedures and techniques and science investigation skills The qualifications provide a scientifically strong foundation for students entering the workplace, with both a robust theoretical background and the development of secure practical skills (at technician level) that transfer into the modern workplace
