OCR Cambridge technical is a refreshing, new and creative course. It has engaging content which is always being updated and adapted to be current. You will develop skills in pitching ideas, pre and post production as well as practical media production skills. You will gain lots of theoretical and practical knowledge that you can then apply to project based briefs and coursework. You will develop your research skills, presentation skills and independent skills. You will gain technical knowledge and skills that will underpin your studies. The course combines the latest media trends with wider theories and relevant practical skills that are in demand by employers.
What you need to get on
Two grade 5s in English Language and Literature. If studied iMedia or Media Studies at GCSE to a grade 4 or above then a combination of grade 4 or 5 in English Language and Literature will be considered (in either combination).
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
