What the college says

The Level 3 Cambridge Advanced National in Health and Social Care focuses on the skills, knowledge and understanding required for employment in the Health and Social Care sector. This course allows students to develop professional and personal skills as well as theoretical knowledge and understanding. Modules include person-centred care, safeguarding, equality and diversity, building positive relationships, anatomy and physiology, physiological conditions and mental health. Students will also learn about legislation and guidance supporting Health and Social Care, so that they can ensure the people they are working with are not only able to access all the care and support they are entitled to but are also able to protect themselves from any harm or abuse whilst undergoing care or providing services. This new course is equivalent to 1 A-Level and assessed via non-examined assessment (NEA) as well as two examined units, this would complement other vocational courses and A-Level courses
