You will undertake a wide range of practical activities designed to give you the essential skills for a career in countryside and estate management. You will also be introduced to the theory which underpins management decisions. The Houghall estate provides the ideal environment for you to gain practical skills and knowledge and also gives you the opportunity to develop essential employability skills. You will also get the opportunity to work on external sites for partner organisations gaining vital experience.
What you need to get on
Direct entry - Minimum of 3 GCSEs D or above including Maths, English and Science Progression entry - A Level 1 qualification (Minimum entry 3 maths and English)
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
