This course is designed for people who may encounter electric/hybrid vehicles in routine maintenance. It also contains the knowledge and skills required to work safely around a vehicle that may have had damage to its high energy/electrical system. This qualification offers individuals an introduction to this specialised industry sector, complimenting their current industry qualifications and experience, and will enable them to continue to work safely within their role.
What you need to get on
No previous qualifications are required, but a general knowledge of vehicles is useful.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
