What the college says

Understanding the way a business operates is essential for any student wishing to pursue a career in the commercial world. In the first year we consider how a business operates from a functional perspective – we study how the key departmental areas of finance, human resources, production and marketing are run and managed on a day-to-day basis. In the second year we take our understanding of business to the next level – we start to think as if we are the CEO – the boss. We consider how the different departments work together and how the whole business can be managed strategically to meet organisational objectives.
