What the college says

This Level 2 course will provide you with a clear understanding of what is involved in running a business and how successful businesses operate. The course involves a qualification, work experience, study visits, guest speakers and enrichment activities that prepare you for further study and employment. In choosing the Business Transition Level and benefitting from varied aspects of the programme, you will gain various skills, along with confidence and behaviours for life.

What you need to get on

A minimum of four GSCEs at grade 3, including English and maths or successful completion of a related Level 1 qualification and good progress with English and maths.

How you are assessed

Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
