This course will provide you with a recognised qualification from Ascentis. It is ideal for anyone wanting an introduction to the skills needed to work in an administrative environment. In addition, you will be helped to plan your personal development and prepare for a recruitment interview. English skills will be embedded, including grammar and punctuation. To be considered for a place on this course you will need to attend an information & assessment session to be held at 10am in our Strand House centre on the following upcoming date(s): Tuesday 21st July 2026 Please visit the CALAT website for further details regarding how to book your information and assessment session. Accredited courses are free to those in receipt of certain benefits (dependent also on household income). Please note that due to our funding criteria we can only enrol eligible learners over the age of 19 at the start of the academic year who are permanent residents of a London Borough. What you need to get on

A good standard of spoken and written English and the ability to work independently. If you achieved GCSE English and maths (grades A-C, 9-5) or functional skills in both subjects within the last 12 months, please bring the original certificates with you to the session otherwise you will be required to complete the on-line English and maths assessment.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
