What the college says

You will get an introduction to all the key areas that make a business tick. This is done in a highly practical way, with trips and visits arranged to make your studies come to life. You will really enjoy this course if you prefer to work at your own pace and set your own targets. You will complete 12 units to for a portfolio of work that is internally assessed. Key areas include marketing, customer care, business organisations, enterprise skills and business finance. When you complete the course you come out with an insight into the world of work and be prepared for further study. After successful completion of this course students can progress onto a Level 3 course offered in the college.

What you need to get on

At least GCSE grade 4 in English Language or Maths plus three other grade 3�s at GCSE

How you are assessed

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
