Business level 3 BTEC is a 2 year course, equivalent to one A level. Business is made up of 4 units including: Exploring Business; Developing a Marketing Campaign; Personal and Business Finance and Recruitment and Selection Process. 2 of the units are assessed as external examination which make up 58% of the marks. Students must have the ability to understand and apply business concepts, conduct varied research to support their studies and work independently. Over the course students will develop as businessmen and businesswomen, able to mimic the process of launching and establishing a new business. Later, they will learn about the theory and process of strategically operating large business organisations. Our Business course has led students to progress to undergraduate and postgraduate university courses, employment and higher apprenticeships in industry. Often Business at level 3 can present the opportunity at degree level to then study with subjects such as Law, Economics, Maths, Accountancy or a Language.
