The course in made up of 18 units and looks at a variety of different areas of sport including; - Coaching in sport and assessing sports performance - Fitness principles including fitness tests and designing training programmes. - Injuries within sport and sports massage - Sports psychology and nutrition - Sports business and event organisation - Sports development and issues in sport The course is delivered in a practical manner with assessments ranging from written reports, portfolios and posters to verbal assessments, presentations and practical assessment.
