The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Forensic Investigation is intended to be an Applied General qualification for post-16 learners wanting to continue their education through applied learning, and who aim to progress to higher education and ultimately to employment, probably in a range of related degree courses. The qualification is equivalent in size to 1.5 A Levels and has been designed as a one-year, full-time study programme, or a full two-year programme when studied alongside further Level 3 qualifications. Learners wishing to take this qualification will have successfully completed a Level 2 programme of learning, with GCSEs or vocational qualifications.
