BTEC National Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Practice
at Brighter Futures Merseyside Limited, Liverpool · training provider
What the college says
The Extended Diploma, equivalent in size to three A Levels, is a two-year, full-time course that meets entry requirements for learners who want to progress to higher education courses in art and design areas before entering employment.
What you need to get on
Students must have completed the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Foundation Diploma (540) in Performing Arts. Based off the requirements for the 720 and 1080 GLH BTECs, we expect that students would top up to the corresponding 2nd year programme to what they have completed in year 1. There are too many units to complete to move from the Extended Certificate to the Extended Diploma, and any learners wanting to move to the Diploma from the Foundation Diploma would only do 1 mandatory unit of 180 GLH
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
