These qualifications give you a solid foundation in the travel and tourism sector, enabling you to develop essential skills required for gaining employment security, career progression or progressing to further qualifications. This course is linked to travel organisations, airlines, visitor attractions etc, which you will visit over the two years. There will also be an overseas trip offered. Throughout the course you will have access to all the resources you need including access to the internet in every lesson. You will also be required to take part in a number of trips and off-site visits to local and national businesses. In recent years we have been to New York, and Northern France as well as visiting British Airways for air cabin crew training.

What you need to get on

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 (or equivalent). Grade 5 in GCSE English is advised and experience shows that your chances of success are greater in this subject if you have a Grade 5 in English Language.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
