The BTEC National Extended Certificate in Sport is an Applied General Qualification for Post-16 learners who want to continue their education through applied learning and who aim to progress to Higher Education and ultimately to employment in the sport sector. Over the two year course the Certificate in Sport will allow students the opportunity to develop their understanding of sport in a social context as well as gaining experience of coaching, development and fitness training. This is the ideal subject for the talented practical performer who is aiming to move into the sports development or leisure and recreation field.
