Developed in consultation with employers, this course provides you with the skills required to work in this sector of the music industry. This course focuses on music performance by preparing students for a series of performances at esteemed local venues, such as The Georgian Theatre and The Studio. You will learn essential creative and organisational skills through study of the music industry and professional practice. The course prepares students for Higher Education by developing academic skills through consistent reflection of practical work, research projects, collaborative and independent learning and analytical skills. Students learn how to discuss music professionally, and theory and harmony study provides students with fundamental knowledge required for their careers and/or university.
