If you have a passion for music and want to develop both your performance and production skills, this course is for you. It’s ideal for those aiming for future careers in the music industry, such as performance, composition, sound engineering, or teaching. The course allows you to explore different musical styles and techniques while building your understanding of the music business and technology. Equivalent to one A level, it also provides transferable skills such as creativity, confidence, teamwork and communication that are valuable for a variety of careers and further study pathways.

What you need to get on

Applicants will need to have a minimum of 5 grades 9-4 GCSE’s including English and Mathematics. Internal applicants who meet the minimum academic entrance requirements will be offered a place automatically (subject to availability of courses). All successful applicants will be required to sign a sixth form code of conduct in recognition of the Academy’s expectations of sixth form students in terms of their behaviour, punctuality and attendance.
