Equivalent to one A Level, this course provides a broad basis of study for the health and social care sector. This qualification is designed to support progression to higher education when taken as part of a programme of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A Levels. All the content of the qualification is mandatory and relates directly to the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected by employers in the health and social care sector. In addition, students will develop transferable technical and practical skills in communication, professional behaviours in the workplace, reflective practice and preparation for interviews to secure employment, apply for university or an apprenticeship.
